French pitcher in clear glass

  • Made by renowned artisans in the oldest glass factory in France
  • A design inspired by 19th century & Provence
  • For everyday life: very resistant, dishwasher safe

This French pitcher is redolent of afternoon teas in the South of France.

Its unique Bee design is a tribute to the emperor Napoleon (bees were one of his emblems). Bees are also a symbol of the art of living in the French countryside in Southern France (Provence).

This French pitcher is made in the oldest glass factory in France: La Rochère, existing since 1475! This refined brand preserved and transmitted a traditional know-how.

4 bees are embossed around the pitcher.  It is made of very resistant, durable, and easy to clean glass (dishwasher safe), perfect for everyday use (water, juices, sodas or iced tea).

Combine this pitcher with the Bee drinking cups or the Bee glass wines for a Provence signature table. We also have the lovely Bee mugs and Bee bowls

You can also use this lovely glass pitcher as a vase. This is a suggestion from Rosalyn, one of our customers. Have a look at her gorgeous photo with tulips. Perfect as a vase, too, right?

Brand story

La Rochère was founded in 1475, during the period called Middle Ages in France. It is located in the Vosges mountains (East of France), a region rich in wood, sand and silica, the basics material to make glassware. The manufacture is the oldest traditional glassmaker still in activity in Europe.

Originally, the factory produced window glass; the diversification to glassware for Cafés and restaurants began in the 19th century. For centuries, La Rochère preserved and transmitted a traditional know-how. They are part of French glassware History and are distinguished as such today by the Label 'Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant' (National Company with a Heritage).

Each Collection has a unique story, inspired from the French History.
