Ceramic milk jug - pink & green
- From Mont Saint Michel
- Handmade and handpainted
- Modern version of a classic piece
In the Mont Saint Michel bay, a ceramic workshop creates French pottery since 1953. A couple of passionate artisans produce lovely French faience: wall decor, dinnerware, kitchen canisters...
This ceramic milk jug mixes tradition with modernity. The traditional shape of the milk jug has been modernized so it can be used as a vase or else to storage your French kitchen ustensils. The floral design is handpainted with vibrant colors and gives a modern and refined touch to traditional floral patterns.
This lovely jug is a French kitchen essential: every French kitchen has several decorative jugs. For a "collection" effect, you can combine it with our 2 other jugs: the royal blue and the blue and green.

Founded in 1953, the Faïencerie de la Baie is an essential artisan workshop in the bay of Mont Saint Michel. Martine and Jean Claude Gourlaouen took over it in 1980 and have maintained excellent know-how for more than 40 years. Jean-Claude is an art technician from the Ecole de Sèvres, university located within the prestigious Manufacture de Porcelaine de Sèvres, in operation since the 18th century.
La Faïencerie de la Baie manufactures earthenware by turning, casting and grading. The decorations are entirely handmade, inspired by Normandy. The workshop carries out all the stages of manufacture: mixing of components (chalk, flint, clay, etc.), turning, casting, grading, drying, firing the biscuit, decoration, enamelling and final firing. Throughout the manufacturing process, dexterity and aesthetic sense are essential.
Filled with knowledge and experience that have only evolved, Martine and Jean Claude have passed on their know-how to dozens of apprentices and trainees. There was a time when more than fifteen employees worked at the earthenware workshop.
