Vintage French tea pot with a pink winter rose design

  • Renowned French ceramic
  • Rare vintage find
  • Luxury details like a golden edging

Add a touch of luxury for your tea times with this exquisite vintage French tea pot. It was made in Gien, one of the most renowned French pottery brand. The high quality and origin is also stamped on the bottom of the tea  pot.

Faiencerie de Gien was established 200 years ago and creates since then refined French dinnerware. You can find Gien dinnerware in so many French kitchens. 'It's a Gien': this is what a French person may say if you ask about an exquisitely designed plate exhibited on the wall, or a delicate dinnerware or tea service reserved for special occasions.

Made in French earthenware, this tea pot has a pink winter rose and green foliage design on both sides. The top of the tea pot has twisted ribs. Final and refined detail: there is a golden edging on the top and on the handle. You can use it as a tea or coffee pot, but also as a decorative piece or else as a vase. So many options for this lovely French vintage piece!

Our vintage products are in good conditions and were all clean. They may have some minor signs of age, including tiny chips.

Brand story

Faïencerie de Gien celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2021. Created in 1821, the manufacture settled on the banks of the river Loire, in the monastery Couvent des Minimes.
During the 19th century, Gien made famous for personalized collections for the European aristocratic families. In the early 1900s, Gien produced part of Paris metro tiles. And recently, Gien designed and produced exclusive collections for Versailles and Chambord castles. The crafting techniques remain today the same as 200 years ago, and each product requires the know how of at least 30 different earthenware masters.
French people are proud to have Gien dinnerware. Collectors even display them on the wall! More commonly, Gien dinnerware is used for special events and fancy dinners. They are emblematic of the art of the French table.
