My Paris Favorites - April 27, 2025
Bonjour from Paris!
I hope you're doing well!
On my side, I’m still deep in refurbishment mode at my new home. I haven’t had much chance to go out, completely caught up between work and finishing the apartment.
I’m really missing my Paris wanders, so I’m planning to start them again very soon. And good news: the weather is expected to be beautiful in the coming days!
Plus, May brings 3 public holidays in France, so it should finally be a chance for me to work less and enjoy more Parisian escapes.
And you? What are your plans for May? Are you planning to visit or discover something new?
I realize how important it is for me: visiting a new place, eating at a new restaurant, learning the history behind a building.

❤️ My latest favorites in Paris
Louvre Museum, 75001 Paris.
The Louvre is currently hosting its very first fashion exhibition! I’ll admit it, I'm not a huge fan of the Louvre normally. It’s a bit too big, too crowded, too much art all at once for me. I usually only visit once a year.
But this exhibition caught my attention. I read so many positive reviews that I decided it was a must-see. To balance the crowds, I chose the Friday evening opening hours, when it's usually a little quieter. Spoiler alert: there were still a lot of people! But not everywhere. Some rooms are spacious enough that you don't feel overwhelmed.
And the exhibition itself? I loved it. More than 90 pieces are displayed from a wide range of Fashion maisons. What’s truly unique is that the pieces are not simply shown on their own, but carefully paired with historic pieces from the museum’s Department of Decorative Arts. The parallels between past and present are fascinating.
If you’re traveling to Paris before July 21, and you love fashion, this is definitely a must-see! And to prepare your Louvre visit, I shared everything in this blog post: Visiting the Louvre: Insider Tips.
If you're not coming to Paris but love fashion, I found this great video tour of the exhibition: watch here. It’s in French, but you can activate English subtitles!
✨ Discover France: handpicked travel reads
This week, a focus on one specific neighborhood: the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
Of course, it's home to the Eiffel Tower, but there’s so much more to see! Museums, charming streets, cute shops... Honestly, thinking about it, I might prefer the 7th even more than the Marais.
Here are some great links to dive into the area:
Merci beaucoup for reading and for being part of this lovely community! I’m so glad to share a bit of Paris life with you every time.
Wishing you beautiful days, from Paris,
