My Paris Favorites - March 9, 2025

Bonjour from Paris!

Or better yet, bonjour from sunny Paris! After six months of endless gray skies and rain, the return of the sun has been a true relief. And not just for a day or two, eight days in a row! The entire city is basking in the light, and so am I.

And as if that weren’t exciting enough, I’m finally moving into my new home! The renovations are done, and while I’m only moving three blocks away, it still feels like a big step.

❤️ My latest favorites in Paris

Tea time at Ritz Paris, 15 place Vendôme, 75001 Paris.

For my 40th birthday, I decided to treat myself to an unforgettable experience: afternoon tea at the Ritz Paris. And what an experience it was! For a few hours, I felt like I had stepped into a dream. The setting is exquisite, a small, intimate salon with 19th-century charm, an elegant library, plush armchairs, a cozy fireplace, and ornate wall decor.

The tea time itself is entirely sweet: a glass of Champagne or a mocktail, a hot beverage, and a dozen mini pastries—which, despite their size, add up to quite a feast! I chose the more indulgent option, which also includes a signature pastry from renowned pastry chef François Perret. Every bite was a delight, from the tatin to the financier and the creamy flan. Strangely, there were no macarons, something I only realized afterward!

You might think, “Of course, tea time at the Ritz must be amazing,” but I’ve heard mixed reviews about other palace tea times. And I can confidently say this one is an absolute must. Plus, the service was flawless, having worked in luxury hospitality myself, I have high expectations, and I couldn't find a single fault. That rarely happens!

I’m already planning to go back, this time with my niece, who will soon turn 10. I know she’ll love the chance to dress up and experience this magical moment.

Some practical details:
Pricing: two options at 105€ and 125€ per person (the higher price includes the signature pastry, but the first option is already generous!).
Reservations: required well in advance, I booked a month ahead. They don’t accept walk-ins, as everything is prepared to order.
Dress code: no need for formal attire, but smart casual is best. I opted for a simple black dress and elegant boots, though I did see someone in sneakers.

With the sun finally shining over Paris, locals are flocking back to parks and café terraces. So this week, I’m sharing the best links on how to experience one of Paris’s most beloved green spaces like a true Parisian: Jardin du Luxembourg.

Merci beaucoup for reading and for being part of this lovely community! I’m so glad to share a bit of Paris life with you every time.
