My Paris Favorites - October 13, 2024

Bonjour!

The Eiffel Tower turned pink! It happens every year for one night, and I’m still amazed every time. It marks the start of 'Pink October', the breast cancer awareness campaign. I go to see it every year, and it’s always breathtaking. This year, Place Vendôme and Place de la Concorde also turned pink, and it was simply magnificent. A beautiful reason to visit Paris at this time of year!

❤️ My latest favorites in Paris

I found the best chausson aux pommes (apple turnover)! Oh my goodness, it was perfection. You can find it in the Marais neighborhood at the bakery called Sain Boulangerie. The place is adorable, with seating inside, so you can enjoy your viennoiseries, pastries, or cakes right there. They even offer a brunch menu. So far, I’ve only tried the chausson aux pommes, but based on the long queue and all the people enjoying breakfast, it seems like a hot spot. Saint Boulangerie 23 rue Gravilliers 75010 Paris.

Last weekend, we finally had a sunny day, so I took the chance to visit the Tour Saint Jacques. This tower is rich in history, and the cherry on the cake: you get a fantastic 360° view of Paris from the top. It wasn’t my first visit, I almost know its history by heart now. Be ready to climb 300 steps in a narrow space, but the view is absolutely worth it: Notre Dame, Panthéon, Eiffel Tower, Sacré Coeur... They offer tours in English, so don’t hesitate (there's no need to book far in advance, you can wait for more details about the weather to ensure you'll have a sunny view). Tour Saint Jacques square de la Tour Saint Jacques 75004 Paris

Since I just mentioned the view from the Tour Saint Jacques, I thought I’d share my selection of links to the best rooftops in Paris. These spots offer stunning views of the city, perfect for a relaxing drink or just to soak in the Parisian skyline!
