My Paris Favorites - June 30, 2024

Bonjour!

Last week, I made a little getaway to Carcassonne in the South of France. It's a stunning area, rich with history (think medieval castles), wineries, and breathtaking landscapes. Despite some rain, I loved every minute!

Back in Paris, the summer weather has finally arrived! The city is buzzing with Olympic excitement—I've even got my volunteer uniform and accreditation now; it feels so real. This Friday, I spent the day wandering around Paris, taking photos, trying new spots, and yes, doing a bit of work. Here are some of my recent favorites in Paris. Happy reading!

❤️ My latest favorites in Paris

The flagship store for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 opened on the Champs Élysées. I popped in on Friday and snagged some cute stuff for my nephews. There’s a fantastic selection of clothes and fun souvenirs. Definitely a spot to check out before it closes on September 15.

I tried the vegan café 'Wild & the Moon', where I worked for a few hours. It's a cozy spot, both indoors and out. The cakes and drinks are perfect for a breakfast or afternoon snack. The vegan burger wasn’t my favorite, but I'll be back to try other dishes. For now, I'd say it's great for a light bite.

Cédric Grolet Café is the newest hit from the celebrated pastry chef. This spot is all about takeaway treats. It offers two unique pastries: the pizza-cookie and the croissant-donut. As a croissant enthusiast, I had to try the croissant-donut, opting for the vanilla cream-filled version (the photo on top of this email). I took a short stroll to Palais Royal, just five minutes away, to enjoy it in the picturesque park setting. It was perfect: richly filled with cream and sprinkled with sugar flakes on top. Absolutely delightful (and well worth the 5€).
