Gien floral platter

  • Gien is a luxury French Maison
  • Handmade in a workshop existing since 1821
  • A gorgeous floral design by artist Fabrice Moireau

This Gien platter is more than serveware; it’s a piece of art. (I wouldn’t be surprised if some choose to hang it on a wall!)

Part of the Impressionists collection, it celebrates the beauty of French gardens and homes that once inspired Claude Monet. The scene is soft, luminous, and full of charm. You’ll recognize the pastel tones of Monet, the serenity of his garden, and a poetic sense of elegance.

Handmade in Gien’s historic workshop, a symbol of French craftsmanship since 1821, this Gien platter blends everyday utility with timeless beauty. Perfect for serving homemade cakes, pastries, cheese, or fruit, for sure it's a centerpiece you’ll love to use, and love to display.

The Impressionists edition also includes dessert plates.

Brand story

Faïencerie de Gien celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2021. Created in 1821, the manufacture settled on the banks of the river Loire, in the monastery Couvent des Minimes.
During the 19th century, Gien made famous for personalized collections for the European aristocratic families. In the early 1900s, Gien produced part of Paris metro tiles. And recently, Gien designed and produced exclusive collections for Versailles and Chambord castles. The crafting techniques remain today the same as 200 years ago, and each product requires the know how of at least 30 different earthenware masters.
French people are proud to have Gien dinnerware. Collectors even display them on the wall! More commonly, Gien dinnerware is used for special events and fancy dinners. They are emblematic of the art of the French table.
