Paris trinket dish (8.7 x 8.7 in)

  • Gien is a luxury French Maison
  • Handmade in a workshop existing since 1821
  • A Parisian moment captured on a large trinket dish

This delicate Gien trinket dish brings a touch of Paris to your everyday. At the center: a French woman on a bicycle, wearing a red scarf and classic marinière, with the Eiffel Tower just behind her and a few birds flying above. A charming Parisian scene, like a sketch from a spring morning along the Seine.

Perfect for holding jewelry, coins, or small treasures, it adds a poetic note wherever you place it, on a nightstand, entryway, or coffee table. Measuring 8.7 inches in diameter (about the size of a dessert plate), it offers both elegance and versatility.

Handmade from durable earthenware in Gien’s historic workshop, a symbol of French craftsmanship since 1821, this dish blends elegance, nostalgia, and everyday beauty.

A perfect Paris-inspired gift for someone going to Paris (or coming back from Paris!) or a keepsake for your own French daydreams.

The Paris edition also includes the dessert plates.

Brand story

Faïencerie de Gien celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2021. Created in 1821, the manufacture settled on the banks of the river Loire, in the monastery Couvent des Minimes.
During the 19th century, Gien made famous for personalized collections for the European aristocratic families. In the early 1900s, Gien produced part of Paris metro tiles. And recently, Gien designed and produced exclusive collections for Versailles and Chambord castles. The crafting techniques remain today the same as 200 years ago, and each product requires the know how of at least 30 different earthenware masters.
French people are proud to have Gien dinnerware. Collectors even display them on the wall! More commonly, Gien dinnerware is used for special events and fancy dinners. They are emblematic of the art of the French table.
