Gien Provence pitcher (33 oz)
- Gien is a luxury French Maison
- Handmade in a workshop existing since 1821
- A gorgeous design by artist Isabelle Barthel
Some objects bring beauty to everyday moments. This Gien pitcher is one of them. Its design captures the soul of Provence: a sprig of lavender, bright lemons, stone pines, a fishing boat, and the blue of the sea. The same delicate scene appears on both sides, like a postcard you never want to put away.
With a 33 oz capacity, this Gien pitcher is perfect for serving water, juice, or even holding a few wildflowers on your table. Made from durable earthenware in Gien’s historic workshop, where French artisans have passed down their craft since 1821. A piece that blends elegance and authenticity, just like the South of France.
The Provence edition also includes the dessert plates, the platter and the bakeware.

Brand story
Brand story
Faïencerie de Gien celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2021. Created in 1821, the manufacture settled on the banks of the river Loire, in the monastery Couvent des Minimes.
During the 19th century, Gien made famous for personalized collections for the European aristocratic families. In the early 1900s, Gien produced part of Paris metro tiles. And recently, Gien designed and produced exclusive collections for Versailles and Chambord castles. The crafting techniques remain today the same as 200 years ago, and each product requires the know how of at least 30 different earthenware masters.
French people are proud to have Gien dinnerware. Collectors even display them on the wall! More commonly, Gien dinnerware is used for special events and fancy dinners. They are emblematic of the art of the French table.
